INTRODUCTION

Patient History:

  •  Male, aged 39 years complained of severe dizziness and imbalance while standing and walking. So much so that he needed assistance in walking at times. Case of Cervicogenic Dizziness.
  • Suffering with this condition for the last 17 years, the last 6 months being very acute.
  • Onset of the disequilibrium state was usually triggered by neck ache.
  • Patient was under the impression that this syndrome was incurable and after undergoing various other treatments had given up on it .
  • It seemed like a possible case of Cervical Spondylitis. It being an old case, the patient did not have any reports on him.
  • On Betahistine drug by the previous medical practitioner.
  • Had undergone a swimming program to manage the vertigo for the past two years. The doctor had advised him not to drive or do any strenuous activities.
  • He had come in with a recently developed knee issue accompanied by lower back pain, a disc bulge in L3-L4 and L4-L5
  • Diagnosis: CGD – It is a clinical syndrome characterized by the presence of dizziness and associated neck pain. It tends to be a controversial diagnosis because there are no diagnostic or clinical tests confirming the cause.

Sujok Diagnosis: Yang Wind Type II Constitution , with dominant Ah wind energy

METHODOLOGY

Patient was asked about past medical history , all emotions were understood as per Six-Ki Constitution protocol .

Treatment: As per six ki principles, dizziness and disorientation may be due to excessive wind energy. The patient is seen to have excessive ah-wind energy so we decided to work on the axes of ah-wind, ah-humidity and ah-coldness in the yang wind type II constitution.

Six Ki treatment was initiated first with only the meridians, and after 4 sessions the Chakra harmonization was added. Patient started feeling better in just 2 sessions.

TREATMENT MERIDIAN CHAKRA
1. Ah-I ↓ B ↓ *Ah-I↓
2. Ah-IV ↑ C ↑ *Ah-IV↑
3. Ah-VI ↓ K ↑ *Ah-VI↓
4. Command I ↓ on J I↓ on Ah Ajna

Triorigin Treatment : To further aid the process of spinal correction, Triorigin  treatment on certain finger joints were added.

Cervical Spine : Ho (Body) – Ho (Layer System) – Ho (Bone)- No (Cervical Spine) : Ho↓ He↑ Ne↑ No┴, Command on the 2nd joint of the thumb.

V4 – Ho (Body) – He (Functional system) – No (Energy System) – Ne (Zone) – He (Vertical lines) – No ( V3,V4) – Ho (V4) : Ho↓ He↑ Ne↑ No┴, Command on the 2nd joint of the thumb.

Correspondence system :

Seed therapy –  The appropriate seeds were stuck on the hands and feet of the patient, after location of  the painful points on the cervical and lumbar spine correspondence with the help of a diagnostic probe.

Moxibustion – After location of the painful points with the help of a diagnostic probe, moxa was put on the cervical and lumbar spine correspondence

RESULT

  • The patient is now coming in for only his knee pain complaint. He happily reports that CGD and neck pain are things of the past.
  • The Six ki constitutional treatment is being continued . Other additions for his present complaints have been incorporated. The treatment sessions shall be slowly lessened as all his complaints resolve.
  • Patient feels very relieved and is now being able to do all activities that usually triggered the neck pain and the following dizziness. He regained his balance and is able to walk without any assistance from the 3rd session itself.

CONCLUSION

This treatment shows how the correct assessment of the patient’s Energy constitution has helped in quick elimination of dizziness and neck pain. Harmonization of the imbalance in energies has cured the disease.

This can be further generalized and said that harmonization of the imbalance in energies of an individual’s constitution will help in ridding him/her of not only CGD, but any disease prevailing, provided that the Energy Constitution is rightly assessed.

Therefore this case report emphasizes on making Constitutional treatment the basis of Sujok therapy. This mode of treatment helps in overall correction of the body system.
