Sujok Therapy
The Human body, a form of life, is a tiny, well harmonised universe on its own. It has everything needed to exist in nature as an integral and independent phenomenon. Man has the inherent ability to establish, maintain and restore health. It is our main ultimate purpose to do so- to establish a good, healthy life on Earth.
Health and disease are conditions of the whole organism, involving a complex interaction of physical, mental, emotional, genetic and environmental factors. Natural forces within us are the true healers of disease. Sujok Therapy, founded by Professor Park Jae Woo of Korea, is a complete healing science which emphasizes that the power to cure yourself lies within you.
Sujok Therapy, based on various philosophical principles, is a healing method full of the Great Spirit of Love of our Creator for all beings in the cosmos. Nature provides for and helps us to maintain a healthy life, it teaches us the lesson of the Spirit of Independence- to actively help in elimination of the disease ourselves. Sujok Therapy attempts to bring in everyone the realisation that the Spirit of Love resides within each of us- in our Hands, in our Feet , hence giving us the Universal power of Healing.
Sujok Therapy, a method of treatment by stimulation of Hands & Feet, is easily one of the best self care methods. It is highly effective, instant and totally safe without any side effects. Accessible to everyone, it’s logic and reasonings make it simple to master. Sujok Therapy uses a combination of physical, metaphysical and transcendental treatments to heal the diseased state of specific organs, zones, meridians and the mental & emotional states of an individual. It is a natural healing science without any inculcation of drugs.
Prof. Park Jae Woo
Professor Park Jae Woo, a Korean Philosopher, Scientist and Spiritual leader, developed innumerable theories and healing methods to help people understand the carious aspects of existence- Physical, emotional, mental & spiritual aspects. In his quest to understand the meaning of existence, He studied healing systems of Phoenicia, Egypt, India, China, and brought together these bits and pieces to solve the whole puzzle under the name of Sujok! He discovered and unraveled the surprising similarities between the Human body and the hand & feet- a key to a new direction in the World of Acupuncture. He created quite a stir in Korea, when his first article was published in a scientific journal, in 1987, paving the way for the birth of Sujok Therapy. His theories based on logic and reasoning, differed all other Onnuri Acupuncture systems and stated that the ‘Thumb is Head’. Professor Park went on to upgrade the age old Chinese Five Element Philosophy and brought forward an advanced variation called the Six Ki Theory. He experienced the echoes of Smile meditation which led him to the realization of Triorigin, the most fundamental of his theories.
Professor also devised various other methods of treatment to enhance physical and mental health- Twist Therapy, Smile Yoga, Smile Tai chi, Sam Won Gong, Triorigin Feng Shui, and many more. He traveled the world extensively, giving lectures and participating in Scientific Conferences, awakening the dormant good souls all over and bringing them together to spread the message of Smile.
He has written a number of books, composed music for Smile Meditation. He headed various prestigious instituitions & was honoured with many Noble titles over the years.
On 25th March 2010, Professor Park left for his heavenly abode while doing what he loved the most-imparting knowledge and awareness. He dedicated his whole life to the betterment of humankind. Today we see the seeds that he had planted have begun to sprout!
